A compact, scalable 1U hyperconverged building block for remote offices and space-constrained sites. Built on the HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 Gen12 with a single 5th Gen AMD EPYC™ processor, it delivers 2P performance at 1P TCO, with a choice of HPE Morpheus VM Essentials or Broadcom VMware.
HPE SimpliVity 325 brings the full HPE SimpliVity software stack, including guaranteed data efficiency, built-in protection, and VM-centric management, to a single-socket, all-flash 1U platform. It scales in 1U increments and balances processor, memory, and I/O for virtualization and I/O-intensive workloads.
The 325 Gen12 is the edge and remote office node in the HPE SimpliVity PC1000 family. For larger consolidation projects, see the HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen12.
x86 resources, storage, and storage networking in a smaller-form-factor, single-socket, entry-level hyperconverged system, with unified management and rapid deployment.
An all-flash design delivers predictable, linear performance at near-wire speeds. Software-optimized inline deduplication, compression, and optimization cut I/O and network traffic.
Grow or shrink in 1U increments. Nodes at local and remote sites are managed as a single entity, with each node supporting a large number of fully protected VMs.
A single AMD EPYC processor keeps core-based hypervisor licensing costs down. Add fewer discrete components, guaranteed 10:1 data efficiency from HPE, and on-demand cluster expansion.
Federation-, cluster-, and host-level capacity trends and predictions, plus automated wellness alerts and case creation, with a unified view of datastores, VMs, backups, capacity, and IOPS.
HPE SimpliVity 325 moves to the HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 Gen12, with a new SAS SSD storage architecture, MR416 controllers, capacity-based licensing, and HPE SimpliVity Software 7.0.
Supports HPE Morpheus VM Essentials (HVM 9.0.2) and Broadcom VMware vSphere 8.0U3.
A single Turin processor, with options from the 24-core EPYC 9255 to the 192-core EPYC 9965.
HPE DDR5-6400 Registered Smart Memory, from 192 GB to 6 TB per node.
A new SAS SSD architecture on the HPE MR416i-o or MR416i-p controller, plus an NVMe boot device.
Single-processor 3- or 5-year term licenses, measured in usable capacity (TiB).
Every node includes HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) 7 Advanced for secure remote management, three PCIe 5.0 expansion slots, hot-serviceable boot drives, redundant power supplies, and cluster expansion without downtime.
Choose the hypervisor that fits your strategy when you order. Both run HPE SimpliVity Software 7.0 on the same Gen12 hardware.
| HPE Morpheus VM Essentials | Broadcom VMware | |
|---|---|---|
| Software | HPE SimpliVity Software 7.0 with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials (HVM 9.0.2) | HPE SimpliVity Software 7.0 with VMware ESXi 8.0U3 |
| Licensing | VM Essentials license is embedded in the HPE SimpliVity software license, on 3- or 5-year terms | vSphere and vCenter licenses procured from Broadcom or an authorized distributor (vSphere Foundation, Standard, or Essentials Plus Kit) |
| Management | VM Essentials Manager with the HPE SimpliVity management plugin, plus HPE InfoSight | VMware vCenter with the HPE SimpliVity management plugin, plus HPE InfoSight |
| Data protection | Built-in backup and restore, HPE StoreOnce integration, and Stretch Cluster; StoreOnce Data Immutability is planned for a future release | Built-in backup and restore, HPE StoreOnce integration with Data Immutability, HPE Backup Archive to HPE Cloud Bank Storage, and optional HPE SimpliVity RapidDR |
| Upgrades | Streamlined upgrade operations through HVM | Decoupled upgrades for ESXi-only updates with upgrade manager |
| Resiliency | Single disk resiliency (FTT1) | Single disk resiliency (FTT1) |
HPE strongly recommends at least two nodes per cluster for high availability. A cluster supports up to 16 nodes and a federation up to 96, and VMware clusters must be deployed in a separate federation from VM Essentials clusters.
Six all-flash configurations, each with two SAS Mixed Use SSDs and three or six SAS Read Intensive SSDs. All are supported with both VM Essentials and VMware.
Usable capacity is approximate, before deduplication and compression. Final sizing comes from the HPE SimpliVity sizer, and the 36 TiB configuration may require HPE exception approval.
Gen12 nodes move to term licenses measured by usable capacity, so software cost follows the capacity you deploy.
Every node carries a single-processor term license that includes HPE SimpliVity software, HPE Morpheus VM Essentials software, and support.
License quantity is based on the node's usable capacity, with Low and High capacity tiers. This applies to the Gen12 platform only.
The configurator adds the right license for your capacity and term. Broadcom VMware licenses are bought separately from Broadcom.
We build your HPE SimpliVity 325 Gen12 quote the same way HPE's configurator does.
Choose the node quantity and VM Essentials or VMware.
Select a 3- or 5-year software term.
Processor, memory, storage, networking, power, and GPU.
The matching license is added automatically.
Add 3- or 5-year solution support and HPE services.

HPE SimpliVity 325 DatasheetPDF, November 2026 HPE SimpliVity 325 QuickSpecsConfiguration, options, and part numbers (PDF)HPE SimpliVity 325 Gen12 is a compact, scalable 1U hyperconverged node built on the HPE ProLiant Compute DL325 Gen12. A single 5th Gen AMD EPYC processor delivers integrated server, storage, and storage networking services, making it ideal for remote offices and space-constrained sites, with a choice of HPE Morpheus VM Essentials or Broadcom VMware.
The 325 Gen12 is a 1U node with a single 5th Gen AMD EPYC processor, up to 6 TB of memory, and up to 36 TiB usable, suited to edge and remote office deployments. The 380 Gen12 is a 2U node with one or two 6th Gen Intel Xeon processors, up to 8 TB of memory, and up to 54 TiB usable, suited to larger consolidation projects. Both run HPE SimpliVity Software 7.0.
HPE SimpliVity 325 Gen12 supports HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, whose license is embedded in the HPE SimpliVity software license, or Broadcom VMware ESXi 8.0U3, with vSphere and vCenter licenses procured from Broadcom or an authorized distributor. VMware clusters must be deployed in a separate federation from VM Essentials clusters.
Each node supports 192 GB to 6 TB of HPE DDR5-6400 Registered Smart Memory and approximately 5 to 36 TiB of usable all-flash capacity, using two SAS Mixed Use SSDs plus three or six SAS Read Intensive SSDs, before deduplication and compression.
Every node has a single-processor, socket-based term license for 3 or 5 years that includes HPE SimpliVity software, HPE Morpheus VM Essentials software, and support. On Gen12, usable capacity in TiB is the standard unit of measure, and the configurator adds the matching license automatically.
HPE SimpliVity Gen12 nodes can be ordered now, and HPE targeted general availability of the HPE SimpliVity 7.0 software for October 2026.
Tell us about your sites, workloads, and hypervisor plans, and a ServerComputeWorks specialist will size and price the right HPE SimpliVity 325 Gen12 configuration.
