Automated protection, verified trust with HPE iLO 8

HPE ProLiant Gen13 servers with HPE iLO 8 protect data and firmware from first boot and keep servers updated throughout their lifecycle.

  • Auto-SEDStandardizes on self-encrypting drives, automatically protecting data at rest from first boot without additional configuration, external key managers, or manual activation.
  • Multi-person authorizationBuilt-in approval controls for high-impact actions such as key provisioning and secure erase reduce risk from mistakes, unauthorized actions, or credential misuse.
  • Post-quantum cryptographyExtended PQC protection for live communications between iLO, platform firmware, option firmware, embedded components, and management systems.
  • Expanded component attestationAuthenticates an expanded list of critical system components at every stage of the server lifecycle, so nothing operates unless it is trusted.

Key features

Boost workload performance and data center efficiency with up to 256 cores from a single 6th Gen AMD EPYC™ SP7 processor in a compact 1U design. Increase consolidation and utilization by running more AI inference, modeling, simulation, EDA, analytics, and virtualization workloads on fewer servers, and keep data-intensive workloads supplied with up to 1.6 TB/s of memory bandwidth, DDR5, MRDIMM, and PCIe Gen6.

Deploy high-performance configurations with greater flexibility by choosing air or direct liquid cooling to match data center requirements, and get more performance from every watt, rack unit, and IT dollar.

HPE iLO 8 standardizes on self-encrypting drives through Auto-SED, adds multi-person authorization for high-impact administrative actions, delivers extended post-quantum cryptography (PQC) protection, and expands component attestation across the server lifecycle. Combined with security management, proactive guidance, and direct access to HPE specialists through HPE Tech Care Service, it helps keep servers protected and up to date.

Simplify server onboarding across distributed environments with low-touch operations in HPE Compute Ops Management. Accelerate issue resolution with closed-loop, AI-enabled workflows and HPE Support integration for faster mean time to repair (MTTR), while advisory intelligence powered by agentic AI analyzes advisories against your environment and moves remediation from manual reviews to automated workflows. Power capacity data helps plan rack capacity and support more confident infrastructure growth.
